there's something about the notion of history as a two sided thing, like an a4 sheet of paper or something, that PISSES ME OFF!
there's no objective past. memory starts disintegrating the moment we form it, and everyone's memory is different in the first place. it's why we have people who actually study history. photographs can be doctored. documents can be forged. i could be doing your mother (but i'm not)
there's no singular hidden past that yearns to be exposed but is stamped out by the establishment... there are just thousands of perspectives that sit outside the traditional narrative, of which yours is only one. history is not a coin thats been glued to the floor tails-up, it's an undulating, many-headed BEAST that should eat you for trying to reduce it down to such a shell of itself.
the fact you were amerisplaining the confederacy to me almost makes it worse.
i feel that most people aren't qualified to judge what is best for anyone other than themselves; which in itself is a tall order. when we try to view the world in these sweeping judgements of what things would create maximum levels of happiness/which "rules" should be followed, atypical people always get the short end of the stick. sometimes i feel skeptical about the usefulness of the pursuit of social truths at all sometimes...
but then which lines do we need to hold hard and fast, and which ones can be allowed to blur?
fun psychedelic horror! fanatasist main character who can't tell the difference between her mind and reality...

gender-abolitionist utopia. is the main character receiving visions of the future, or is she a schizophrenic? you decide!
